Wow! What a week! From skittle competitions to visiting sheep, Positive Ageing Week 2013 was a huge success. The week kicked off with an exciting skittle competition. It was very close but the overall winner was Margaret McSharry, congratulations Margaret well done.
During the week the Nursing Home Residents participated in bulb planting. They used a mixture of bulbs and all going well we hope to have some Hyacinths for Christmas, Crocus in January and Daffodils in early Spring.
The most popular and talked about, activity of the week was of course the Farm Animal Visit. Besides ‘Lambie’ the Sheep, Residents got the opportunity to hold and pet baby chicks, rabbits and kittens. Residents thoroughly enjoy the visit and hopefully we will have them visit again. A special thanks to activity coordinator Nora and all involved in making Positive Ageing Week 2013 one to remember.
